The 6th Annual Stephenville Fish Day in the Park

SBC members along with Fetch & Fish Tub owner, Jason Reynolds, load fish into tub for Saturdays fishing demonstrations. The Tank was sponsored by SHS Outdoor Adventure Class and the Stephenville Bass Club


SBC members along with youth release catfish into the Bosque River for Saturdays Fish Day in the Park. SBC purchased approximately $1500.00 of fish to release. Approximately 800 pounds of catfish were released.



Stephenville Parks and Recreation Department employees register youth participants
for the Fiish Day in the Park and pass out T-shirts to the first 200 registrants.


Wal-Mart employees man the prize tent and the bait tent. They
passed out bait to the youth and presented prizes to those
who brought fish to the tent.



Members of the Texas Game Wardens Association work to prepare
rods and reels from their traier for the Kids to use during the day.

The Texas Game Wardens Association also brought their
Wall of Shame trailer. The trailer houses some of the
confiscated items that were taken or used illegally to take
game animals or fish.

During each show at the Fetch and Fish Tub Jason Reynolds and his crew gave away prizes to the youth through a ticket draw. Corey ???? demontrated casting tecniques
that were used in the CastingKids Contest held after each show then invited a youth from the crowd to join him on the platform to catch a fish from the tank. The shows were
a big attraction to kids and adults alike.

The Stephenville Bass Club sponsored a Bassmasters Sanctioned CastingKids Contest at the event. Above left is a picture of the layout of the casting lanes.

Jason Reynolds anounces the winners of the CastingKids Contest
and pesents them with their ribbions. Brandon Dunn was the winner
of the 11- 14 age group and Colton Back was the winner of the 7-10
age group. They qualify to advance to the State Championship.
